aah this will be VERY short, as I am VERY tired

ok so OMFG WOW AND HOLY FREAKING CRAP --- Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince --- !! omg I can not even begin to express my feelings about this book. I got in line at barnes and noble at 11:15 last night, got my book right around 12:05, and then once I got home (12:25ish) sat down and promptly began to read. I didn't stop until I noticed it was getting light out, which was also when I finished the book (5:30) so five hours. I'm proud of myself. I've already begun to reread it though, just to make sure I don't forget anything. it was so amazingly wonderful, but I won't be so daft as to give spoilers here, because it's only just been released today. you will be amazed though. and thoroughly shocked and shaken up. once I finished the book (or at least reached the climax) I reacted much like Meredith: I, too, was shaking, although I also started crying and had to run and fetch the tissues. JK Rowling has written an AMAZING piece of literature here. I don't know for sure if I can yet say it's my favorite (Prisoner of Azkaban being my current favorite) but it is definitely bordering, and we'll see after a few more reads how it stands in my mind. just a warning (but not a spoiler, I promise) this book is certainly more dark than the others. harry and the other characters deal with alot more emotions and magic than in the others. this book also seriously tests the courage, trust, and strength of will of many of the characters. ah well, I'm getting too far into my mysterious, vague comments here, so i shan't say anymore.

as of tomorrow morning, I'm leaving for a mission trip w/ my church to wheeling, WV. I know, not that far, but we'll see what we can do. so obviously I won't be updating in here for at least a week --- I get home on friday, but I'm leaving saturday for Michigan, so it all depends how much time I have on friday to update) anyway, wish me luck, pray for me and the mission team and I'll see you all later!

p.s. if you haven't yet read the book, GO READ IT because once I get back from michigan I will MOST CERTAINLY want to share my opinions about the actual events in the book, and although I WILL post it under a cut labeled "SPOILERS" I really don't want anyone to have the story spoiled for them - SO I am giving you two weeks. and then I will release my commentarial pen!
